Thinned as watercolour: dilute with water for transparent washes and fluid technique. The gum arabic binder behaves like a watercolour binder when diluted — soft, flowing marks and gentle layers.

Mixed media: combine with watercolour for opaque highlights over transparent layers. The two techniques integrate cleanly because both share a gum arabic base.
